Go Lightly

I'm very pleased to announce that my latest single Go Lightly is out everywhere now. It’s a meditation on life and death.

I wrote it after my mum’s death which was peaceful and moving.  She left on a beautifully sunny day with the sea in the window, the sun on her face and her children beside her. My son was 7 weeks old and lay sleeping next to her as she left. There was something cyclical and poignant about him being at the beginning of his life,  and my mum at the end of hers. There is a simplicity to birth and death - in those moments we realise that love is all that matters.  Everything in-between is a footnote..
